The winners of The Climates Songwriting Competition will be celebrating the launch of their singles, recorded at the world class Bert Jansch Studio in Frome, to raise money for The International Climate Film Festival: https://climatefilmfestival.co.uk/

Scott O’Hara & the Rhythmeisters (winner)
Scott O’Hara is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Sydney, Australia now based in Somerset. With an impressive background that includes jamming with blues legends, Son Terry and Brownie McGee, playing guitar with Chicago’s Tate and the Million Dollar Band and Senegal’s afrofunksters, Bubuca, Scott is now focused on his own unique brand of soulful rock, backed by his brand new band, The Rhythmeisters, featuring Mark Thurstain on bass, Stefan Steinhof on drums and special guest Edward Bettella on keys.

Judas Goat & the Bellwether (runners up)
Judas Goat and the Bellwether are Pete Vincent, a multi-instrumentalist from Yeovil and Sara Vian, singer/songwriter from Frome who have combined forces to create strangely attractive rootsy gospel blues where the moodiness of Pete’s bass lines and unique chord changes combine with Sara Vian’s soulful vocals to create something quite profound.

50 Ft Queenie (just coming along for the ride!)
50 Ft Queenie, a new PJ Harvey tribute band on the circuit, will be helping to rock up the revolution, featuring Sara V (vox), Scrivo (bass), Sash (guitar) and The Mac Daddy (drums)
